Rigips Screw

Rigips plates are also fixed with screws. So-called Rigips screws, also called Drywall screws, are used. These special screws were developed for the screwing of Rigips plates. These screws are also known as drywall screws.

Rigips plates are screwed on wood profiles or metal profiles, here different drywall screws are used. There are two types or thread types which are used here.

Rigips screw with coarse thread => for wood profile assembly, you can buy here cheap..

Rigips screw with fine thread => for metal profile assembly, you can buy here cheap.

Rigips screws (Drywall screws) are always self-tapping and there is no need to pre-drill. When screwing Rigips boards together, the screw should always penetrate at least 1cm better than 2cm into the substructure, i.e. the wooden base or the metal base. The correct screw length must be selected depending on the thickness of the plate. Here is an overview of the most common screw lengths.

Tip! As universal length you can call the 3,9 x 35mm screw. Many standard plasterboards have a thickness of 9,5 - 12,5mm. With double planking you have a maximum wall thickness of 25mm. With a 3.9 x 35mm dummy screw you can screw the bottom planking as well as the top planking and that only with one type of screw. So that all screws are screwed equally deep, there is a special bit holder which is especially suitable for drywall screws. You can buy it here.
